In a bold move to steward its Converged strategy and the company’s future-forward data & tech agenda, Havas has announced two key leadership appointments: Dan Hagen as Global Chief Data and Technology Officer for Havas and Jamie Seltzer as Global Chief Data and Technology Officer of the Havas Media Network.
These two senior executive appointments mark an exciting step forward as Havas continues to innovate and deliver best-in-class solutions.
Dan Hagen
Dan Hagen brings more than 25 years of experience in technical and media practitioner roles. Throughout his career, Dan has held the position of media planner for prominent brands such as Microsoft and Novartis. He has also launched the National Lottery’s interactive platform and served as the chief strategy officer at iProspect and Carat UK, where he has worked with various clients like British Gas, Mondelez, and Diageo.
In his five-year tenure journey at Havas, Hagen has already led the creation of the media agency network’s global audience planning platform and helped transform its planning process, laying the groundwork for a more integrated, insight-driven approach to media. His efforts have led Havas Media Network to serve as the media, data, and tech arm of Havas’ Converged Strategy, which blends talent, platforms, and expertise to create a unified client experience.
Now promoted to Global Chief Data and Technology Officer, he takes on a cross-functional remit that includes planning and implementing the group’s overall data and tech strategy, advising global clients on their data and tech transformation, and positioning Havas towards a data-led future.
His work includes collaborating with external partners and Havas’ data and tech experts across the world, building bridges between creative, media, production, and technology. In his new role, Hagen will lead the development of Havas’s AI-powered Converged operating system, along with strategic data and tech alignment, governance, investments, and operational excellence across all the operating units globally.
“Data and technology are the cornerstone of our converged global strategy—giving our people the tools, insights, and means of collaboration to supercharge our positive impact for clients. With his experience developing the Media Network’s award-winning audience planning platform and his collaborative work with partners to develop industry-leading data and insight capabilities, Dan is ideally suited to chart a powerful data and tech future that delivers for our people and clients,” said Yannick Bolloré, CEO and Chairman of Havas.
Jamie Seltzer
Jamie Seltzer succeeds Hagen as Havas Media Network’s Global Chief Data and Tech Officer. She brings over 20 years of experience in data strategy, analytics, and media transformation. Earlier in her career, she held key roles as VP of Data Strategy and Director of Global Data Strategy at Red Fuse Communications, did strategic data work at WPP’s Data Alliance, and had a six-year tenure at Razorfish, where she progressed through account management and senior analytics roles supporting global clients.
Her work has been featured in Adweek and industry podcasts, where she’s shared perspectives on navigating digital disruption and building client growth through smart data applications. She’s also been an active member of Chief, a private network for executive women.
Jamie is a true veteran of the Havas Media Network, where she’s held leadership roles for more than nine years. Most recently, she served as Global EVP, CSA & Mx Analytics, and before that as Global Managing Director, overseeing both Mx Analytics and MarTech & Data Strategy. In these roles, she helped future-proof Havas’ data offerings and guided major transformation efforts in a cookieless, privacy-centric digital world.
In her new role, Jamie will develop the converged media product and roadmap, enhance the network’s overall data capabilities, and foster a data-driven culture rooted in driving meaningful business outcomes for clients. As part of her new role, Jamie will also maintain her strategic oversight and leadership of CSA, the global technology, data, and analytics consultancy arm of HMN.
“Clients are demanding future-forward agency partners who are data-led and outcome-driven; Jamie has been critical to ensuring Havas Media Network is positioned to deliver on that promise,” mentioned Peter Mears, Global CEO of Havas Media Network.
One Vision, Two Experts
Havas is putting experienced, trusted leaders in place to drive its global data and tech strategy forward. Dan Hagen and Jamie Seltzer’s combined expertise will help unify systems, strengthen capabilities, and make data more actionable across the network. This move will help Havas build an ecosystem to deliver smarter, faster, and more effective solutions for clients around the world.
“We look forward to seeing Dan and Jamie’s continued collaboration across the entire Havas ecosystem to accelerate the group’s broader Converged strategy and data and tech ambitions,” said Peter Mears, Global CEO of Havas Media Network.
