Digital Transformation Expert Joins M&T Bank to Lead Technology Initiatives

M&T Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Tai as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). In her role, Tai will oversee Consumer & Business Banking Technology, Digital Technology, Financial Crimes and Identity, as well as Enterprise Architecture and Integration.

With over 25 years of experience driving digital transformation within regulated environments, Tai brings a wealth of expertise from her leadership roles at top global financial institutions, including Fannie Mae, Bank of America, and Goldman Sachs. At Fannie Mae, she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), where she led high-performing teams to advance business capabilities through innovative technology strategies.

Before joining M&T Bank, Tai was the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Fannie Mae. Prior to that, she held significant leadership positions at Bank of America as Managing Director, Global Head of Architecture and Engineering and Chief Data Officer, and at Goldman Sachs as Managing Director of Service Engineering.

Tai holds a Master of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Master of Arts in Music from the New England Conservatory of Music.
